The MG E-motion, a low-slung, two-door sports car with an
electric powertrain and an eye on car buyers of the future.
The E-motion has been shaped using MG’s ‘decades of
world-leading design experience’ and features touches like LED headlights that
are apparently inspired by the London Eye and butterfly doors for that cool
space-age look.
As for technical info,
it can sprint from 0-62mph in ‘less than four seconds’ and has an
estimated range of around 310 miles. That range figure is exactly the same as
the raft of electric cars VW Group showed off at Shanghai – namely the closely
related VW I.D. Crozz, Skoda Vision E and Audi e-tron Sportback.
Little detail is given on the car’s interior, but MG
promises that an intelligent infotainment system is on board and is ‘fully
internet-compatible’.
Matthew Cheyne, sales and marketing boss for MG Motor UK,
says that the E-motion concept ‘demonstrates our global vision for the future’
and that it’s ‘the latest step to achieving the ultimate driving experience.’
